Here is a video of me before the wedding, getting pics taken around the resort, and the big bouquet toss.
FYI: M&G Productions (melissa & gloria) is booking now for future engagements. Our rates are quite reasonable and are available upon request.
This blog chronicles the day to day life of 2 physicians, 2 kiddos, and 2 kitties for better or for worse. . . .

video #2: tying the knot
Here's the second installment of melissa productions - tying the knot!
Even after 4 hours of editing, it still makes me a little misty-eyed.
Props to my mother-in-law for the awesome video footage:)
video #1: wedding reception
Who knew technology & I were buddies? I spent a lovely morning editing our wedding reception video. Suprisingly it was fun (and I only yelled once, when the program abruptly shut-down on me!) Enjoy - be sure the sound is on.
p.s. it takes awhile to "buffer", so it give it about a minute or so to download after you click play.
p.p.s. Stay tuned for our wedding video and a video of our adventures in wedding photography.

the rosso's first meal @ home
Decided to celebrate our 1-week anniversary as man-&-wife with a lovely homecooked meal of baked salmon with a delicious homemade red-pepper sauce.
I can't believe it's already been a week since that romantic day on the beach. Here are 2 more special memories I forgot to include on my top-1o list:

I think the hubby liked it!

- My dad walking me down the aisle. This is one of my favorite pics!

Married Away

Felipe & I got back late last night from our Jamaican adventure. The pictures tell the story better than I ever could. Check all 185 out at: http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=475746008/a=28070114_28070114/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish
In no particular order, here are Felipe & I's top 10 memories:
- Hammocks.
- Waking up to the sound of the ocean.
- At Felipe's insistance, chasing the boobs & booze cruise so far out to sea he spent the next 3 hours in our room seasick.
- Food: smoked salmon at every meal, rum cream, room service
- Dancing to a live jamaican jazz band.
- Getting married to the love of my life.
- Felipe's twice daily naps - the life of a surgeon!
- The beach. Laying on it, napping on it, and catching some rays.
- Spending qt with the families.
- My dad's toasts - great sentiments and love.

what does easter, bachelorette parties, and cobb salad have in common?
They are all part of my exciting week!
First off, Happy Easter to everyone. Thought the dye job was fitting (I went in for ginger-colored highlights on Friday.) My colorist, Leah, was amazing and I am loving my new 'do! Off to the in-laws today for a lovely meal.
Second, Felipe and I had some delicious cobb salad this week. Most men are not fans of salad, but I think this one had enough yummy bits that even Felipe enjoyed it. What's not to like about bacon and avocado? Speaking of bacon, I made this crazy-sounding but absolutely delicious bacon-wrapped dates last night. I devoured 8 by myself!
Here's a fun pic of me and Annie at the beginning of the bachelorette party. We started at my house with frozen ginger lemon-drops, moved on to the classy Grand Street cafe for cocktails and appetizers, hit up sol cantina for margaritias, tengo sed for dancing, the brick to wind down, and then town topic for burgers! It was the perfect night, not too crazy, and surrounded by my best friends.

cute story
My friend Annie got me this plant the day after Felipe and I got engaged. It was full of beautiful yellow flowers, but as these flowers withered and died no new flowers grew in their place until this month. Special.

This week.
Just made it back from a long weekend in Hutchinson. I got to see the twins, who are both doing great. They are absolutely precious. I already am looking forward to seeing them in June. I also got to spend some quality time with gma & gpa and visit a few of my favorite places in town.
Got a lot going on this week. Tomorrow we are going to dinner with some of Felipe's co-workers and I need to get a start on the reception invites. Thursday is lunch with my CIS buddies, Friday is highlights and student research forum where I will be presenting some of my recent research, and Saturday is my bachelorette party. The party will start tame, with cocktails at the classy grand st. cafe. I just hope my friends don't have anything too crazy planned!

dr. melissa strikes again
If you can't brag to your friends and family. . . . .

Okay, so the font is a little small. But basically it says that the James Price, MD Award for Excellence in Family Medicine will be awarded to me at my hooding ceremony in May. I think this one even comes with a cash prize!

Check out my dining room chair renovation -

About 1 hour of work and $10 - tada!

I got to try out a recipe from my new Barefoot Contessa cookbook last night "Roasted Shrimp with Orzo." Absolutely delicious. Chic and very fresh tasting!
