My "day off"

Today was day one (of two) days off this month.  Nope, not a typo.  I get two days off this entire month.  So, I decided to maximize it.  I got to sleep in until 830, not bad - - was nice to get almost ten entire hours of uninterrupted sleep.  Woke up to both kitties cuddling with me which was heaven.

Spent a couple hours at my new job - Vitas Hospice, meeting the hospice team and shadowing a home visit.  I think this is going to be a great opportunity.  I enjoy home visits and hospice, and a few extra dollars in my pocket will definitely be nice.  Gotta support my shopping habit somehow:)  Never hurts to save up a little money either.

Afterwards, I checked out a few thrifties.  Snagged a Halston dress for quite the steal; looking to reselling it to a consignment shop after I wear it a few times.  Grabbed a delicious raspberry cheesecake brownie from the bakery around the corner and 2 chick flicks, and plopped onto the couch where I'm still sitting.

Ugh, back to work tomorrow.

Rock the Parkway

It's official - I am registered for my first running race!  April 2nd, Rock the Parkway, 5k.  Whew!  Wish me luck.  Now if only I can stop slacking off on my training.  I just couldn't pass up a RedBox marathon this afternoon -- machete and burlesque. Heaven.
