Bella & Papa go on a date

Everytime I'm on call Felipe has the best weekend ever.  Him and Bella go on dates and have a blast while I round and answer pages.

This weekend was no exception.  They went to the library, target, the park, and Chickfila. . . . .in one day!

Working out

We got little man's play gym out yesterday and he had a blast!

Our week

Wednesday was my first full day back at work - - despite dreading it, I survived.  It wasn't near as bad as I anticipated.  However, I certainly prefer the half-days.

Bella also got her school picture proofs this week.  Absolutely precious!  I can't wait to see the class picture.  It's fun to look and see who her best friends growing up might be.

We also started our every other week Family Pizza Date night.  It was a success!  This time I got to pick our guests, next time we will let Bella choose our double-family date.

29 months

This girl is getting taller and sassier by the minute!  (I think she takes after her mother)

Faves: mama, minnie mouse, peter rabbit, chocolate, makeup
Dislikes: going to bed on time

2 months!

Can you believe this little lion is already 2 months old?!?!?  He loves to smile and babble and is starting to sleep a little bit better.

Happy Monday!

We had a great weekend!  Playdate at the park on Saturday, beautiful weather, and a visit from the Rosso's on Sunday (who brought lots of yummy food!)  Bella rode her scooter very very fast and got to decorate sugar cookies with Abuela.  Made it hard to go back to work today.  This is my last full week of half-days.

Another week. . . . .

Well, 2015 shows no signs of slowing down for the Rosso family.  We're currently under contract to become homeowners again!  Being a renter certainly has had it's perks but pretty soon little Leo is going to need his own room.  Once things become more official (inspection is this Saturday) I will post some pics.

The past 2 weeks with GG have been a total blessing.  She helps in the morning so Fel and I can get ready, she helps in the afternoon so I can take a nap or go for a run (unfortunately I've only got 1 more week of half-days so this perk will soon expire), she helps at dinner-time and bedtime.  Dishes get done, laundry is folded.  Thank you!  I'm already starting to worry about what we will do when she goes. . . . .but now that we've got a big move coming up maybe we can convince her to stay a bit longer.

The Happiness Project

Has anyone read this book?
I read it about a year ago (I'm a sucker for self-help books) and decided at some point I would try out of some her resolutions and goals.  Maternity leave turned out to be that time.  January was a blur, so I started with February, the theme was "Remember Love".  Depending on your point of view it was either the best month to focus on marriage or the worst (what strains a marriage more than a toddler, a newborn, sleep deprivation, a GI bug and urology boards all rolled into one glorious month?)

Goal 1: Quit nagging.  Well, I didn't nag as much as I could have. .  .but yeah, didn't do so good on this one.  "Honey, it's your turn to get up with Leo."  {accompanied by a few elbows to the ribs}.

Goal 2: Don't expect praise or appreciation.  Well, not so good at this one either.  "Honey, I was up with Leo THREE times last night while you slept."

Goal 3: Fight right.

Goal 4: No dumping (ie don't sit around and complain about your day).  Focus on the positives. "Honey, while you've been at boards hanging out with your friends Bella has thrown up on me, pooped on me, and woken up at 4am EVERYDAY!"

Goal 5: Give proofs of love.  I stepped it up on this one, buying him two boxes of Twinkies at the grocery store;)

Luckily, I've got the rest of the year to continue practicing.  Love you babe!

Here's a pic of something that makes me very happy - - -

Something else that will make me very happy - - -when this GI bug finally leaves the house.  But I'll stop there since I'm working on not dumping.
