Happy Halloween!

She had a blast walking in the Halloween parade this morning!  And we found out she's quite popular. At least 3 mommies commented that she is their kiddo's best friend.

Cheerios & milk

This girl ate all of momma's breakfast.

Gifts from grandma's

Loving her mushroom stool and farm puzzle!

Bella has been  learning new things with leaps and bounds - her curiousity is limitiless.  Just this week she successfully used a fork, last week she used a spoon.  At the library she stacked blocks and here at home she put the sun piece in the puzzle.  She can climb onto a stool to wash her hands and now sits in a chair at a table to eat lunch at daycare.  Felipe and I are blown away, we love to sit back and watch her learn.  She's hit or miss on hygiene - loves to put on lotion and brush her teeth and hair but hates baths and diaper changes.  Maybe she's going to be a beauty project junkie???

Daydreaming

I think this little lady would play outside all day long if we would let her!

Scenes from our weekend

After some snow on Friday, I got to enjoy a 3-day weekend (amen, for the 4-day workweek!)  However, I'm on call tomorrow which doesn't sound like the best way to start a Monday.  Especially since it is my 1st call!

Yesterday the weather warmed up so we got some outside time.  Miss Bella walks and walks and walks!  She loves the great outdoors.  I'm thinking she's going to be a great fishing buddy. . . . . .We also made some banana pancakes which she gobbled down.

Today we tried on our Halloween costume - which is getting quite tight.  Good thing we've only got a couple of weeks to go!  Bella also helped me with the laundry.

Birthday Fun!`

Miss Bella had a pretty awesome 1st birthday - beginning with oatmeal and cheese puffs for breakfast.  The day included lots of presents and a visit from abuela, abuelo, and tio andy.  Fel grilled some delish burgers and chicken.  The weather was beautiful, so we got to play outside on our jungle gym and go for a wagon ride.  Cheers to Miss Bella!

World's strongest girl!

That's our little lady pushing a massive wagon. . . . .uphill. . . . .in her pajamas!

Happy Birthday Baby Bella!

Some of the days were long, but this year has been so short.  Goodbye Baby Bella and hello toddler!  This girl is on the move.

Little fishy

Tonight was our last swim lesson of the session.  I think we've got a water baby!

1st day = success!

Can't say it was easy, but we all survived my first day at work. I think it was hardest on Bels, which I suppose made it hardest on me. Now, if I make it through day 2 I will be rewarded with a day off tomorrow.

4 generations and 5 great-grandbabies!

The Garber clan got together yesterday for an afternoon of fun, family, and food.  Grandma made the best chicken noodles and the kids chased each other around the yard.  It was so nice to see everybody (it had been WAY too long!).  Now that Felipe and I are much closer to Hutch I'm excited for Bella to spend more time with her cousins.  Pretty soon she will be able to keep up and then all bets are off:)

Looking Back

2012.
Miss Bella arrived in style on October 13th.  I can't believe we are about to celebrate her 1st birthday.  Felipe also signed his job contract.  October was a big month for iMelipe.

2011.
Did a lot of Yelp-ing, and went on our 30th birthday bash with the fam in Playa Mujeres.

2010.
A great month for family!  Gma and Gpa Garber celebrated their anniversary with a bike trip and mom won an award.  Fel and I relaxed in sunny PV.

2009.
Had some friends over for Souper Sunday, dressed up the kitties for Halloween (Elo was the best naughty nurse!), and enjoyed a big ole turkey leg @ Ren Fest.

2008.
Elo became an internet sensation in her handknit sweater!  I rotated at different hospitals in KC to try to figure out where to apply for residency and began setting up interviews.  Believe it or not, I knit Isabella's favorite baby sweater way back in 2008.
