Shame on me for not posting these past 8 days. I've said it before, and I'll say it again --- living life has been so BUSY!
We had an awesome time in DC - - - check out of photo journey.
First off, we had a stowaway. Miss Elo wanted desperately to come with us (she dreaded being home with her brother for 4 days!) Luckily we caught her before the luggage was loaded.
Bella felt a little warm Thursday when we left (and had the rosiest little cheeks) but did AMAZING on the plane. I caught one lady whispering to her friend, "that baby was behind me the whole flight and I didn't hear her once!" Thank goodness she was a little princess because we got a lot of looks as we waited to board. She loved looking out the window during the descent, she's such a curious little lady.
Unfortunately she didn't perk up much on Friday. She was such a little furnace and feeling so crummy, we went out and got a thermometer and some Tylenol. She spent the whole morning chewing on her binky.
Luckily the tylenol and a cuddle afternoon with daddy perked her right up. We think she was teething, though no teeth have popped through the surface yet.
She was feeling so good we went out for a walk and enjoyed a glass of local vintage.
She LOVED chewing on her little corn cob @ dinner Friday night, though I certainly felt like a hillbilly. Who gives their baby a corn cob? This momma does! I think it felt good on her gums. She liked it so much we took the last ear of corn to the hotel so she could have corn cobs 2 days in a row.
That's where the photos leave off. We didn't do such a good job documenting our first family trip. We didn't even take a group picture! One of my favorite parts of the trip was the 3 of us all cuddling up in the big, fluffy, king-sized bed.
The way home was an adventure. After waking her up @ 630 (530 Kansas time), taking a taxi to the airport, navigating check-in and security, then boarding the plane and waiting on the runway, they taxied back to the gate and had us deplane due to a mechanical issue. Ugh! Of course she had just fallen asleep when the made the announcement. Ninety minutes later we were back on the plane and up in the air, finally arriving to KC a little after noon to be greeted by many inches of snow.
