souper sunday!

Had SO much fun @ Souper Sunday - I love my friends! (not to mention a day away from the hospital.) Here's a peek at what was on the menu:

Felipe & I finally got to spend an evening together. I think the last time we saw each other when we weren't - a) passed out in bed from exhaustion, or b) in the hospital busy as a bee, was probably a good 2 weeks ago when we went out to a delish dinner at blanc.

To celebrate I sauted up some chipotle shrimp tacos with a nice cold cerveza. We watched some tivo'd project runway, and now felipe's happy napping on the couch (with ultimate fighting on the tv.)

Couldn't resist buying outfits for the kitties when I was out searching for the final pieces to felipe's and I's costume today.

Enjoyed a lovely Friday off. Slept in under the lovely hour of 9. Sipped on some coffee while catching up on celebrity gossip and indulged in some apple pie ala mode for breakfast. Leah worked her magic on my hair, and I emerged from the salon with some autumn auburn highlights and new layers to play up the texture. Enjoyed some delicious lunch @ panera with my mil, went on a mini-shopping spree (in my defense, it was ALL on sale!), and ordered some new glasses with funky tortoiseshell frames.

Little man loves to explore the house, getting in to anything and everything. He's been caught in the closet rolling around in my shoes, he's been caught in the dryer, in the bathtub, in my purse, and this time climbing around in the fireplace.
I don't think Elo likes to share her blanket!

Dinner last night, porkchops with lemony bread crumbs. Felipe ate the most GIGANTIC porkchop I have ever seen. For dessert, apple pie and blueberry wine.
