My day

Ventured to the grocery store with Isabella today - luckily I only needed 2 things.  Once I got her in the cart there wasn't room for much else!  Is putting their carrier in the top part secure?  Was too scared to try.

Isn't she a cutie all bundled up?  Luckily the tears only lasted while I was driving.  The rest of the time she was nice and quiet.

 This was not from today, but love that they have the same facial expression.  Too cute!

Thanksgiving

Had a great Thanksgiving Day lounging around the house - Miss Isabella slept until 930 so I got some "mommy time."  Fel had to work in the am, but was home by 10 and got to spend lots of time with his ladies.

Had a delicious (and HUGE) Thanksgiving lunch @ The Rosso's followed by more lounging at home.  Overall, quite wonderful!

Happy Wednesday

Had a great day today!  Gloria brought Panera and hung out with Isabella while I ran some errands.  Went to the grocery to pick up ingredients for a Balsamic roasted porkloin, black eyed peas w/ ham, and apple pie oatmeal.  Believe it or not, there weren't lines.  

At Target the lines were a little longer, but not bad.  I got a picture frame to put Bella's picture in and 2 dresses for work (pumping-friendly) off the clearance rack.

Things got even crazier.  I drove all the way to Westport and pretty much hit every green light.  Then at ATC I scored $100 in store credit, a dress, and a Marc Jacobs shirt.  Super SCORE!

This even I made some Pumpkin Scone cookies for Thanksgiving - already had 3, delish!

A Garber Family Thanksgiving

Had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday - no pajamas at the dinner table, lots of good food,and naps all around.  Got to eat some leftover cranberries for breakfast this morning and have a piece of pie waiting for second breakfast.

What I am thankful for

1. The Schumacher's bringing Blue Koi (yummy!), taking out the trash, AND sweeping the floor.  AMAZING!
2. My parents coming up for the weekend and cooking me a delicious Thanksgiving dinner - it's still in the oven but I just know (based on the smells coming from the kitchen) that it is going to be AMAZING!
3. Finding 2 cute shirts @ Fashionista Exchange that are breast-feeding friendly.  (AMAZING how quickly your fashion changes once you become a momma).  I actually went shopping in one of Fel's white undershirts accessorized with a giant scarf.
4. My AMAZING hubby who is so chill and laidback when I freak out about everything.

The weekend

Two big things happened yesterday,

1. I pampered myself w/ an hour-long facial @ xiphium.
2. Fel & I went on our 1st date, leaving Miss Izzy w/ gma glo.

Actually, 3 big things happened.  She took 2 bottles!  This will give me a little longer radius since I'm no longer the sole feeder.  Though I rather despise pumping........

All I needed was 2 yards of rayon-jersey and a pair of scissors. . . .and I've got my own.

Wednesday

It's been quite the day - thus far I have:

• been peed on 3 times by Miss Isabella
• poo'd on once
• gone through countless diapers
• went in to work, which was a total failed experiment, she slept the whole way there, cried straight through the whole time we were there, then slept the whole way home
• made it to Sonic happy hour for a chocolate diet dr pepper
• laid Isabella down for a nap (fingers crossed!)

Didn't get her first bath on film, but this one was definitely the most successful!

We've been trying to figure out who Isabella looks like - 

Based on this pic we think she has my chin.....

But I kind of think she looks like Felipe. . . .  the eyes, eyebrows and lips match.  Maybe she has his hair??

Today's plans - slept in until 8, fel went on a delicious donut run, guitar-time, and maybe a mommy trip to Target.  I also rented Magic Mike!

Bring your daughter to work day?

Yup, I did it.  I went to work this afternoon AND I did work.  Granted, not a lot of work but I did do it (fingers crossed it will count against my maternity leave and will give me an extra half-day of vacation!)  Isabella was a total doll until her diaper leaked onto our fellowship coordinator.  Ooops!  This was after she gifted Izzy with two super-cute outfits.  Double ooops!
