Adventures in furniture
About half the house is painted and we've got 2 pieces of furniture (out of 8!) put together. Tons left to do before our move date. This is getting exciting!

Beach bound!

We've decided to make it a family tradition of hitting the beach Labor Day week each year. Last year we had a blast in Cancun (I think even baby Leo had fun in my belly!). This year we are off to Charleston, SC and have rented an awesome house with some awesome friends on Sullivan's Island.

Hard at work
This kiddo's strength and determination amaze me. He can already scoot himself along the floor if he's in the mood.

31 months
This little ladybug is growing up fast! She still loves Minnie Mouse and is finally moving on from Elsa and Anna. She loves to wear skirts and tutu's. She likes going running. And she has started wearing panties to school! Today she even took herself to the potty. Big girl!

4 months!
This kiddo started school today. It seemed much harder on me than it was on him (I suppose better than the reverse.) He is getting so strong. He can roll over, almost sit, and loves to "stand." He's such a little giggle monster. He loves when I wear printed shirts, but gets too distracted to nurse. Offhand, I can't think of a single thing he dislikes.

Happy Mother's Day!
My kids were so excited to celebrate, they woke up at 5am. This is earlier than they woke up for Santa Claus!

The Happiness Project: April
April has been a very busy month, so busy I didn't have many free seconds to remind myself to focus on this month's happiness theme - Lighten Up.
- Sing in the morning - I sang La Bamba on the way to school almost every morning. Maybe I even learned a bit of spanish. . . .
- Acknowledge the reality of people's feelings - rather than telling Bella not to be sad (especially when it was something rather silly), I would try to acknowledge that she was sad or mad. I read that if toddlers are able to put a name to their feelings they are less likely to act out. Still waiting to reap the rewards on this one.
- Be a treasure house of happy memories - we went to Hutch and Bella had an amazing time playing with her cousins. Bella got to go to her new house and see her new room. I hope these are two happy memories she is able to take with her as she grows.
- Take time for projects - totally failed at this one. One of the things I love at Creche is that they do many projects, which frees me up to relax. I think I'm happier project-free.
