Another wonderful weekend is sadly drawing to a close. This weekend was full of GG and Gpa fun! Little B got to open some early birthday presents, go for a ride in papa's car, and eat some delicious mac & cheese. Fel and I managed to steal away to look at some houses together. We've found a super-modern house we really like that is still under construction. It's exciting to have possibilities.
It's been quite the weekend. Fel is on call, a busier call than we are used to. The midnight, 2am, then 3am rings of the phone are driving me nuts!
(I'm sure they are driving him even more nuts, while I get to roll over he has to get up and form coherent sentences.)
Yesterday we had a super fun visit from great granny, great gpa, jaelynn, and aubrie. The girls played so well together and I got to do a lot of cooking.
Last night we went to a street festival in Aggieville. Unfortunately, by the time we got there all the vendor's had been rained out. But there were still balloons and live music. Bella had a great time until the balloon burst in her face:(
Quick update on B's upcoming birthday. I think we are going to keep things low-key and not do anything formal. We'll probable take her to the topeka or manhattan zoo since monkey's are her absolute favorite thing right now.
As for pressies - I've already got her stocked on fall jackets and shoes. She could use a few more pairs of pj's (either footed or 2 piece), some bigger socks (she wears size 6 shoes), and a winter coat (size 3T). She is obsessed with anything elmo or cookie monster. Her water baby has sprung a small leak, so a new babydoll (with a softer head) likely would be awesome. I think we are going to get her a little chair from Pottery Barn.
This girl is still into monkeys! They are absolutely her favorite thing to see at the zoo. She also really liked this little weasel who was running around squeaking and swimming. Can you believe this cutie will be 2 next month? Trying to decide what to do to celebrate. I think the zoo is an obvious choice - but which zoo? Manhattan? Topeka? Omaha?
Current faves: swimming like a mermaid, anything outside, picking out and putting on her own clothes, elmo tv, ipad alphabet game, llama llama books, bandaids.
Current dislikes: being forced to do anything, diaper cream.
Oops! In all the hustle bustle of getting back from vacation and into routine I forgot to post our 5 month bump picture. This was taken in Cancun - - out of the blue little B wanted to kiss Baby Rosso and give them some love. I'm feeling great. Really want to get a good exercise regimen going so I'm prepared for the marathon of labor (but then the couch, and pinterest, and a bowl of cereal beckon and exercising gets the back burner).
