A few more vacation pictures. . .

Fel & I took very few pics on our vacay, luckily our friends busted out their camera.  One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing Bella have fun with her friends.

Hiking

We went hiking on the Konza prairie this morning.  Bella did amazing - climbing to the top of a huge hill!

Leo is so excited to join us at the table, he'll eat pretty much anything with great gusto.  Last night it was noodles with sauce and fresh green beans. . . .

Are we done yet?

Our entire family is on the tail end of an awful GI bug that started last Wednesday.  All 4 of us are still feeling it, but each day is a bit better. . . .it hasn't been all bathroom time.  There's still been several bright moments.

Bella's birthday plans are starting to take shape.  We've already been to the beach, we've got an omaha trip planned, a trip to the pumpkin patch, and visits from grandparents.  

(Totally not spoiled. . . . .)

8 months (and 6 days!)

This little guy is so chill and happy.  He's still scooting himself around backwards and getting up to hands and knees.  Any day he'll figure out forward motion.  He still loves to eat, and his sister can always elicit a grin and a giggle.

2nd annual beach vacay

This year, for our Labor Day week at the beach we went to Sullivan's Island, just off the coast of Charleston.  We were lazy and never ventured far from our beach house, but we all had a blast.

The kiddos did amazing on the long days of travel to and fro.  B had a major meltdown over some chocolate icecream Fel bought her, but we couldn't figure out what she was so upset about initially.  Then she was upset it was melting, so I ate the melty part (yum!), then she was mad it wasn't at the top (that wasn't fixable).  Of course, it looked like I was eating all the chocolate icecream w/o sharing and that was why B was crying. . . . .the mysteries of toddlers.

Bella grew up so much over the trip.  It's amazing what a week away can do.  She had so much fun playing with Oliver, Lucy, and Theo.  Her and lucy stayed up so late giggling and having girl talk.  Bella loved the big waves at the beach and was so much braver than last year.

Leo is on the brink of crawling.  Another few weeks and he will be mobile - yikes!
